She says it with a grin of her own, then thumps
his shoulder as she makes a move.

           "You wanna race? Bet I can beat you
            to their little hide-y hole!”

      before he could respond upon her provocation;
      he alters into a position; so he’s prepared to race. his grin
      that’s inevitable to see.

      ❝ what d'ya bet? ❞
